Almost all companies today use some form of IT-systems, regardless of industry. To these, often complex, systems should be able to consistent with predefined demands, developed, be implemented and integrated then you who have knowledge in information systems are needed.
Since the interaction with the operating environment is important to us, we want to create many different places where our students and their future employers can make connections.
The Swedish spring celebration Valborg is often associated with student culture and alcohol, but this year the celebration will be accompanied by a sober alternative with a focus on health and wellbeing - Kausläppet 2024.

The majority of all fictional writing is eventually forgotten by history. Only a few works and authorships become immortal. Why is that? What is it that generates and inhibits literary value? These are questions that Anna Forssberg and Anna Linzie try to answer in their research.
Anna Forssberg is a docent in Comparative Literature and Anna Linzie is a senior lecturer in English at Karlstad University.

We would propose a back-to-back panel, from the Global Gender Matters (GGM) Network, based at the Department of Gender Studies, Lund University. We are an interdisciplinary group of scholars, who work on multiple scopes and scales of empirical and theoretical frameworks on local and global issues through a gendered and feminist lens.

The aim of the project is to generate a theory of gaps in narrative media. According to phenomenological reader-response theory, narratives are by nature riddled with empty spaces, or gaps, which the reader has to fill in to create meaning based on what is read or seen (Iser [1972] 1974). Also for graphic novels there is a need for imagining what happens in the empty spaces in and between the panels (Groensteen 2007).
In the DRIVE project, a common test environment with industry partner Varnish Software has now been installed. The tests will measure the impact of different network connections on latency and bandwidth during video streaming.
Since mid-December, latency and bandwidth testing has been ongoing in Karlstad University's 5G testbed. A server is connected to several network connections at the same time to compare their performance.

The transition from a closed to an open academic publishing landscape has provided greater opportunities for researchers to reach as many stakeholders as possible with their research. At the same time, the transition has meant that the costs of publishing have shifted from readers to researchers, universities, and research funders.Today, university libraries have a large number of publishing agreements that allow researchers to publish for free or at a discounted cost.

The goal of the project is to improve security in the interaction between humans and robots, as well as improving the productivity of collaborative robots in the assembly process.
PURPOSE
The project aims to implement new sustainable solutions based on collaborative robots that use mixed reality (MR) and artificial intelligence (AI), as well as analysing the performance of the implemented solutions in the robot platforms available at each of the project partners.
