Library service to off campus students
Due to the outbreak of covid-19 the library services to off campus students are also available to campus students living outside Karlstad town.Library card / KAU card
KAU cards can be used as library cards.
If you haven't applied for a KAU card and want to borrow books you need to get registered in the library system. Fill out the application form and choose a pin code. The pin is used if you need to request books and to log in to My loans.
Improved access to e-resources
Many publishers och database providers are now offering improved or even free access to their resources. This can be resources about research in Covid-19 or resources which help with studying or working remotely.Databases/E-journals

Using the library from home
You can use the library even if you cannot visit us. On this page you will find links to some of our e-resources. Contact us by phone, email or chat if you have questions or would like guidance.
You can also visit our information desk in Zoom, open Monday-Friday at 10-12am.
Students and staff have access to the library's databases, e-journals and e-books off-campus by logging in with your KauID.
