Explore AI tools in Scopus and Web of Science
2025-09-12The library has activated trial periods for a couple of AI tools that aim to enhance the search experience through natural language and intelligent topic exploration. You can find the tools directly in the databases Scopus and Web of Science. The test runs until October 10.
Scopus AI
Scopus AI allows you to search using full questions or phrases—no need for keywords or Boolean operators. You can even ask your question in Swedish (or another language); the response will be provided in English.
The results are based on abstracts from the Scopus database and are presented as a brief or extended summary with references, foundatinal documents and a concept map generated from your query.
Since our last trial a year ago, new features have been added—such as Deep Research, which provides a more in-depth report on your topic.
Web of Science Research Assistant
This service uses generative AI along with sources from the Web of Science for searching and compiling literature as well as for data visualization. The tool has been developed by Clarivate, and the hope is that it will facilitate researchers in finding relevant documents in the database by allowing them to ask questions in their own language, get help finding relevant journals, obtain visualizations and subject maps, etc. The responses are based on the material available in the database.
