Many rivers have been impacted by hydropower developments. As a result many organisms can no longer move freely through watercourses to lakes and oceans. Naturalistic fish passages built to approximate natural streams enable most fish species to pass such obstacles.
Fish passages that approximate natural streams have often been shown to be better than technical fish passages since they allow more fish species to pass.

As part of the Testing Talk project, we have designed and conducted recurrent workshops on oral proficiency testing interaction and assessment designed as professional training for language teachers.
The workshops are based on our research on interaction in and assessment of oral proficiency tests and focus on common themes and problems in speaking tests.

Maria Holmgren Troy is professor of English and Director of the Research Group for Culture Studies (KuFo).
Her research has first and foremost dealt with different aspects and phenomena within American literature and culture as well as speculative fiction, and has often touched on gender issues in fiction of different kinds. She teaches a recurrent M.A.
The notion of interculturality is often said to have been central in teacher education and training in Europe and other parts of the world over the past 30 years. It is mostly through the concept of intercultural competence that interculturality has been constructed and problematized for both (student) teachers and students.

The workout where we start from the body’s seven basic movements - Walking, Squatting, Hip Hinge, Pulling, Lunges, Pressing, and Rotation. We mix classic basic strength exercises with innovative functional exercises to strengthen the whole body. We work in sync with the music and use a barbell, weight plates, resistance bands, and a step board. The equipment used can vary from class to class.Subject to changes.

Practical placement
Through the practical placement included in different courses in Civics, contacts are established with the schools which receive our students. In courses which include longer periods of practical placement, the cooperation with schools is enhanced through the visits and other personal contacts that are employed to follow and support the students’ development.
