Pay a library fine

If you owe more than a certain amount you may be blocked from borrowing, renewing and ordering library materials. If you are unable to come to the library to pay your debt, you can pay through the University Bankgiro. Please contact the library after making your transaction. 

NOTE! You need to complete both steps, 1 and 2, in order for the debt to be settled.

Step 1 - Send your payment to Bankgiro number 5051-9651 (Karlstads universitet):

• Write on the payment slip/internet bank message field
  - your personnummer/personal identification number, org5200, your name

Step 2 - Notify the library that you have made the payment by sending an email to biblioteket@kau.se or filling out this form:

• FORMULÄR - Betalat skuld till biblioteket (in Swedish)
