How do I print out?
The printing system at Karlstad University is called Kauprint. With Kauprint you can send files to printers online and then pick up your files at any campus printer. The printers can also be used for scanning and emailing files. You are only allowed to copy/scan in accordance with the Bonus agreement or for personal use. Read more here.

This study focuses on school leadership courses at Master’s level that have been developed in collaboration with a municipal school intendent in 2023. The training is designed to allow school leaders to work on the improvement of their own pedagogogical leadership in relation to an identified aspect of local school improvement by the use of action research.
The Chemical Engineering research are mainly conducted in four areas: Pulp Technology, Paper Technology, Surface Treatment Technology and Graphic Technology.
The Chemical Engineering research is also associated with the research forumSkogsindustriell förädling och energiteknik and the research centre Paper Surface Centre.
The Pulp Technology group hosts international annual workshops in chemical pulping or cellulose.

The drug market has changed in recent years. In addition to older, well-known drugs like heroin, cocaine and amphetamine, a number of new synthetic drugs are now available. These substances are often sold online, and the target groups are teenagers and young people.
It is estimated that a new drug reaches the market each week; during 2014, 101 new synthetic substances were seen on the European drug market, and in 2015 another 100 new ones arrived.

Much discourse among service researchers circles around ‘value-in-use’, but still tend to apply research methods examining ‘value-ex-use’. Taking the ‘use situation’ seriously, we have reason to pave the way for advanced ‘in situ methodologies’.

A new study evaluated the association between early pregnancy exposure to eight PFAS compounds respectively and birth weight in 1,533 mother child pairs in the Swedish Environmental Longitudinal, Mother and child, Asthma and allergy (SELMA) study, specifically focusing on differences according to sex of the child.
Researchers found significant associations between higher prenatal exposures for five different PFAS (PFOS, PFOA, PFNA, PFDA och PFUnDA) and lower birth weight

Malleable interactive prototypes: Co-designing during interaction 2019-2024
Malin Wik has in her doctoral studies spun on the GUI-ii ideas mentioned below. Several works have been published since 2016. During spring 2024 she finished a monograph entitled "Prototyping with purpose: Increasing participatory design with malleable interactive prototypes" (Karlstad University Studies 2024:17).

Margot Wallström has devoted most of her life to politics. Her commitment has been both national and international, most recently as Sweden’s Minister for Foreign Affairs. Today, Margot Wallström remains active through various forums. At FEKIS 2024, Margot will speak about renewal and democracy related to higher education. She will discuss the future, democracy, and challenges.
Claes Thorén, who defended his doctoral dissertation at Karlstad University in the spring of 2014 now returns to give seminar on his recent research. Since his disputation, he has worked as a researcher and later as a senior lecturer and director of studies at Uppsala University.
