The experimental equipment within the Material Research Group contains of:
-Transmission electron microscopy (2009) - JEOL JEM 2100, LaB6 cathode and a digital camera Gatan SC1000 Orius, equipped with EDS and STEM detectors.
-Scanning electron microscope (2020) - FE-SEM JEOL JSM-7900 F equipped with EDS X-MaxN Silicon Drift Detector, 20 mm2 and EBSD C-Nano detector (map acquisition software: AZTEC, map post-processing software: Aztec Crystal) manufactured by Oxford instruments.

- I studied for a master's in IT and management at Högskolan Väst in Tröllhättan last year, as well as a bachelor's in IT engineering in my country, Iran. I also have a couple of years of work in computer networks and a couple of years I worked in industry.
Tell us about your previous research
- For my master's thesis, I studied the adoption of blockchain-based applications in higher education.

The Research Group for Culture Studies, KuFo, invites interested researchers to take part, with or without presentation, in the workshop Satire as Perspective on the Contemporary.
The workshop will take place on Wednesday 17 October 2018, 10.15-17.30, in Minerva, Building 12, at Karlstad University, Karlstad, Sweden.

He has an interest in the methodologies for service innovations, and is studying the impact of idea refinement and its implications in the idea assessment process. We aim to ensure that critical digital communication can function even if the internet connection is disrupted.

RESPONSE (Demand-Responsive Transport to ensure accessibility, availability and reliability of rural public transport) is an initiative run by the public transport sector aimed at developing and coordinating existing publicly funded transport services.
Most public transport services, including medical transport, outside urban areas are still focused on providing local, analog and time-bound bus services.
We are happy to welcome Dr. Jakob Trischler to CTF.
Jakob recently joined CTF, Service Research Center at Karlstad University, as a postdoctoral researcher. Originally from Austria, he completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the Management Center Innsbruck. After moving to Australia, Jakob completed his PhD at Southern Cross University in 2015.
The essay is an extremely common type of writing in academic English. Essays are viewed as having a crucial role in developing critical thinking and writing skills. Its organization and structure are different from that of other common types of writing such as reports. Additionally, it has features which are different from those expected in academic writing in other languages.

On Friday evening, March 31, the IT department was burgled. More than 30 computers and around 10 mobile phones are missing. (Updated 2 of April).
The burglar alarm went off around half past seven in the evening.
- The police were alerted and were quickly on the scene, says Jan Gambring, security manager.
In the event of any delays in ordered computers, the IT department will contact the affected user.

In the field of computer science, research is often conducted experimentally in test beds. This may include test beds specialized in data communication with wireless transmission (WiFi, 4G, 5G, 6G, satellite) or connections where traffic can be sent through multiple paths (multiple access) in wired or wireless connections.
We have test beds specialized in machine learning, cloud computing, software-defined networking, software-defined radio, and cybersecurity.
We are happy to welcome Amie Gustafsson, new PhD student in Business Administration. She is placed at CTF, Service Research Center, where she will be studying customer behavior in the retail industry.

Coming from a region where music plays a big role in our lives – think about ABBA, Roxette, and Avicii – it seems inevitable that we became intrigued by the swift pace of innovation within the music industry. In a couple of decades, music production and consumption have moved from LPs to cassettes and CDs, to music piracy and digital files, and most recently to streaming services.

... You recently hade your midway seminar, how did it go and can you tell us about your research?
It went well! I received good feedback from the opponent and know what I need to continue working on. I am researching customer experiences and am interested in the process and process measurement tools that can capture customer experiences in real-time. Previous research has mainly focused on the outcome of an experience and is based on memories of a customer experience.
We welcome Ayako Taniguchi, Assistant Professor of Risk Engineering at University of Tsukuba, Japan, who will be visiting Samot, our Public Transport Research Group, until August 25th, 2013.
Ayako Taniguchi has been working at Tokyo Institute of Technology, and as an engineer in Nihon Data Service (Consultancy Company).
