The project The pressured preschool? is a dissertation project of Maria Lennartsdotter's PhD-project, started in 2019. The dissertation project aims to sheds light on Swedish preschool as it is presented by more than 1000 preschool teachers and childcare minders during #pressatläge. In international reports, the Swedish preschool has until recently been referred to in terms such as “outstanding” and “an international role model”.

The purpose of the project is to provide knowledge of climate literacy based on empirical data to be used in school. The researchers have developed a theoretical model of what knowledge, abilities and attitudes constitute students’ climate literacy, hypotheses about what factors affect climate literacy, and how climate literacy can lead to a willingness to act in a more climate-friendly way.
