6G-PATH (6G-pilots and Trials Through Europe) is a new Horizon Europe project where Computer Science and Nursing Science at Karlstad University are participating. The project is going to develop solutions that can be applied in health education. 6G is expected to introduce new technologies that will enable innovative applications.

Researchers from several European countries gathered for a two-day workshop at Karlstad University. The general theme was research on polymers and their application for organic solar cells and energy storage. – There are several purposes behind the workshop, says Jan van Stam, Professor of Physical Chemistry. New research at Karlstad University shows that "boyish" play behavior at the age of 7 can be linked to both behavioral problems and autistic traits. In a study that includes 718 children, researchers from Karlstad University and Uppsala University have identified clear connections between gender-role-related play and the development of behavioral challenges.

Fredrik Svensson highlights neglected aspects of a decades-long authorship that has produced a considerable number of novels, plays, and screenplays. McCarthy’s oeuvre spans over five decades, from the 1960s to the early 2000s, and includes ten novels.

Music Ecosystems Inner Scandinavia (EU/Interreg Sweden-Norway, 2018-21) is a cross-disciplinary, collaborative research project that wants to understand how digital technology, in relation to other societal trends and social structures, configures music usage and experiences. Isn’t it even so that our ‘life baggage’ is obstructing us from certain aspects which may hinder us from a fully embracement of life? The same could be happening for companies. We have had a long debate in service research about how firms can move towards applying a service perspective in their organizations and what benefits the service perspective could result in.
