The Public Health Agency of Sweden has, in consultation with medical officers for infectious disease control and the County Administrative Board of Värmland, decided on stricter general guidelines. The aim is to further reduce unnecessary contact between people and thereby the spread of infection.

In 2018, researchers at CTF were awarded 4.6 million SEK from the KK Foundation for research on servitization in manufacturing companies - to develop a reference model to create a better understanding of how servitization is done in practice.
The purpose of the project was to create understanding and knowledge about servitization and how this process can be translated into practice and provide competitive advantages.

On December 4, high school students, university students, doctoral candidates, senior researchers, and company representatives gathered at Karlstad University to work together in teams on current mathematical challenges presented by businesses during the The Mathematics Meets Industry Day (MiMM Day).
Rottneros, Tesa, Blue Ocean Closures, and Region Värmland presented real-world problems, seeking sustainable solutions with the participants' help.

On 18-20 of June, BioWiseTrans partners Nordregio, NIBIO, LUKE, Oslo University and Karlstad University came together in Hamar and sorroundings for its second workshop. Like last time and importantly, different stakeholders from Norway, Sweden and Finland joined us.
The meeting focused on the need to address and study conflicts and synergies in the ongoing transition towards a fully biobased economy.
The word cooperation means that several different parties work together. It is interesting to determine what the interaction between research, industry and public services can lead to.

Karlstad Business School provides education and research in among other areas responsible leadership and sustainable working life and organisation. As part of an international context of knowledge, Karlstad Business School has signed The Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME).
During a six month period Karlstad University will be developing a strategy for web-based distance learning at advanced levels. Political understanding of maladaptation
2020-04-21: Political theories and concepts are to an increasing degree applied as analytical tools for the negative aspects of climate adaptation (maladaptation).
How will our actions today affect future generations? What would the effect be if we looked not just 50 or 100, but millions of years ahead? And what role does history play in creating a sustainable future?
Recent progress in the area of Machine Learning, AI and Optimization enables intelligent decisions to be made that e.g. improve the quality of the production processes and the final product, the prediction of system properties (such as sales forecasting or power generation), the prediction of machine downtime (predictive maintenance), among others.
