Advisory committee

Each research center at Karlstad University has an advisory committee, where internal and external interests are represented. The advisory committee's tasks include promoting the dissemination of knowledge, contributing to the initiation of research programs and projects, building knowledge networks, promoting research and development work externally, developing the research center's operational and communication plans, initiating evaluations of activities, and establishing contacts with other national and international research centers in the field.

  • Beatrice Högå, unit manager for Social Sustainability at the County Administrative Board of Värmland
  • Lina Larhult (S), chair of the children and youth committee, Karlstad Municipality
  • Sofia Magnusson, chair of the Social Democrats, chair of the Cultural and Educational Committee, Region Värmland
  • Tina Olsson, professor of Social Work, Jönköping University

The members are appointed by the vice-chancellor upon the recommendation of the faculty board for the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. The advisory committee is appointed for the period 2026-01-01 to 2026-12-31.
