ISE
ISE (Improving Value Creation through Service Education) was conducted at CTF during the period 2020–2025, with support from the Knowledge Foundation (KK-stiftelsen) as part of the Expert Competence Programme. The aim of the programme was to strengthen Sweden’s competitiveness by supporting skills development and continuing professional education for working professionals through tailored courses developed by strong research environments.
Within the framework of ISE, researchers at CTF developed short, flexible courses for professionals, with the objective of enhancing competitiveness in Swedish industry while advancing developments in both academia and practice. The courses were based on CTF’s research.
ISE was led by CTF and carried out in collaboration with the Karlstad Business School and other units at Karlstad University, as well as a number of industry partners, including: Almega, Attityd, BillerudKorsnäs, Cellcomb, Compare, Effect Management, Färjestad BK, IKEA, Industriråd Värmland, Löfbergs, NWT, Region Värmland, RISE, SMA Mineral AB, Stål & Verkstad, Uddeholm AB, Unionen, and Volvo Bus Corporation.
