E-MigrAgeing: Sustainable Ageing of Migrant Populations in Sweden and Japan and their Transnational families in the Framework of Digital Technologies was the title for this two-day online workshop. The aim was to discuss topics of migration, ageing, and digital technologies in Sweden and Japan.
Assoc. Prof. John Bonner from Huddersfield University is visiting us for two days. On the first day, he will give a seminar with a thought-provoking content.

A Holistic AI-driven Networking and Processing Framework for Industrial IoT.
AIDA aims to enable novel trustworthy data-driven real-time industrial IoT applications by building a holistic AI-driven Networking and Processing framework.
AIDA builds upon expertise of researchers from three research disciplines (Computer Networks, Distributed Systems and Software Testing) at Karlstad University.
The ambition of earlier strategies has mainly been to promote collaboration between the subject of History and other disciplines at doctoral level, locally at Karlstad University as well as nationally and internationally. This is still centrally important for the subject. The research profile of the subject comprises two main specialisations, channeled primarily through research conducted at The Centre for Regional Studies (CRS) and The Centre for Social Science Education (CSD), respectively.
School has started and maybe this year more parents may let their children walk or ride a bike to and from school due to the corona pandemic. Despite the reason, it is a positive development, says Jessica Westman Trischler at CTF, Service Research Center at Karlstad University.

Johan Quist, researcher at CTF, has been appointed Associate Professor of Business Administration at Karlstad Business School at Karlstad University. His research interests revolve around how the public sector can be better, more relevant and appropriate.
Johan Quist does research in the public sector, with focus on service logic.

The project aims at the setup of a full educational program including an undergraduate Bachelor and a graduate Master degree. CTF has a long tradition of conducting research in collaboration with partners from industry, the public sector, civil society, and academia. Our partners are very important to us and contribute to the development of knowledge and the dissemination of research results.
Last week CTF, Service Research Center at Karlstad University, together with Experio Lab, hosted a consortium meeting in Karlstad within the European research training network SDIN.
In addition to supervision of the doctoral candidates associated with SDIN, and a board meeting, a public conference was arranged with the intention to disseminate some of the research conducted within the project.
