AIDA
A Holistic AI-driven Networking and Processing Framework for Industrial IoT.
AIDA aims to enable novel trustworthy data-driven real-time industrial IoT applications by building a holistic AI-driven Networking and Processing framework.
AIDA builds upon expertise of researchers from three research disciplines (Computer Networks, Distributed Systems and Software Testing) at Karlstad University. Together with Swedish companies, we explore three critical research areas through separate sub-projects, which collectively aims to solve the overall question on how to enable trustworthy data driven real-time industrial IoT applications.
Sub-project 1: SDN control plane and robust configuration for time-sensitive networks
Focuses on the real-time networking aspects and solves the configuration challenge of Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) by applying principles from Software Defined Networks and robust optimization to automate the process of network (re-)configuration considering the guarantees that such applications require.
Sub-project 2: Real-time performance monitoring and optimization of container-based edge services
Targets real-time performance monitoring and optimization of container-based edge services in order to make sure that end-to-end constraints are met.
Sub-project 3: Testing infrastructure for trustworthy data-driven IoT systems
Focuses on the trustworthiness of ML components in this context that, in turn, will assure the sustainability and evolvability of the data-driven decision making IoT systems.
