Digital examinations

Digital examinations are a part of a number of courses at Karlstad University. You will receive more information from teaching staff if your courses are examined digitally. Students complete digital exams on their own computers, or on computers borrowed for this purpose. As a student, you are responsible for preparing for writing a digital exam. For a short period, we will have 2 different systems in which we will do digital exams.

In this survey study, we explore how principals' actions are related with teachers' expectations of the principal assignment. How this social role is practised depends on the expectations placed on the position of the role in the social system in which it is included, but also on the expectations of the function to be fulfilled.

She got her degree in Nursing in Karlstad in 1983. After continuing professional development in orthopaedics, Carina Bååth spent many years working for Region Värmland as an orthopaedic nurse, quality assurance nurse, and operational developer.

He moved to Australia to pursue his studies and complete his PhD, followed by ten years of working as an academic in the Australian higher education system.

Judith Kiros, PhD student in English Literature at Karlstad University, has in short succession been granted two literary awards – Svenska Dagbladets litteraturpris and Mare Kandre-priset – for her poetry book Det Röda Är Det Gränslösa. – It’s wonderful and very unexpected, says an exuberant Judith Kiros.

September 26th it was time for the Centre for Teaching and Learnings' annual conference on teaching and eassessment. The theme of the conference was Course Design in Canvas and how we get better at using our common learning platform. We want to stimulate and inspire all staff at Karlstad University and thereby contribute to the quality development of teaching and assessment in our courses and programs. This year, we will emphasize our new learning platform.

I have had a lot of international experience previous to this semester but my stay at Karlstad University really broadened my international perspective.
It is sometimes said that we live in a media society. What does that really mean? What role is played by the media in our lives? Why does media content look the way it does? How do we use the media – in our private lives and at work? And how do the media actually influence our view of the world and of ourselves? These are some of the questions that we try to answer in Media and Communication Studies.
