Researchers at CTF have been granted 5.3 million SEK for research on energy-efficient commuting. The main financer of the project is the Swedish Energy Agency.
In the project, researchers Lars E. Olsson and Margareta Friman both active at CTF, Service Research Center and Samot, The Service and Market Oriented Transport Research Group at Karlstad University, will develop new knowledge and methods for energy-efficient travel.

Ikea is the most innovative company on the Swedish market followed by MTR Express and Netflix in second and third place. This is according to the Swedish Innovation Index, a new index which focuses on innovation from the customers’ perspective, developed by researchers at CTF, Service Research Center at Karlstad University, Sweden.

Kinneret Lahad, an associate professor of Women’s Studies at Tel Aviv University, is internationally recognized for her sociological research on singlehood and temporality. Her influential work includes the book A table for one: A critical reading of singlehood, gender, and time (2017), where she notably challenges the heteronormative conventions about singlehood and time.

During Stina Hagsten's upbringing in Vetlanda, she was always surrounded by people who played and sang. Her interest in music has been there for as long as she can remember, and even though she attended the natural science program in high school, she chose to train as a music teacher after graduation.
Stina Hagsten's main instrument is the saxophone, but she also plays the flute and clarinet.

Experts who are open to change view ideas as opportunities and approach idea screening as a generative process, while conservative experts are more reserved in their idea screening activities. These are the findings of a new study where researchers at CTF, Service Research Center at Karlstad University, have examined how a person’s sense of identity influences the way in which they screen early ideas for innovation projects.
Researchers from Austria, Denmark, England, Germany, Sweden and Switzerland were visiting Karlstad on May 22-26 to attend the sixth annual meeting of the European Rasch Training Group (ERTG).
All doctoral students are appointed at least two supervisors in connection with their admission to the doctoral programme who will provide help and support during the education period up to the thesis defence and graduation.

- This is a recurrent international summit at top level with a focus on sustainable bioeconomy. I attended as head of CRS, as coordinator for the research project Ingoskog and due to my involvement in our other projects regarding bioeconomy.
