Project description
The Swedish preschool is in a long-standing change from content-based focus to subject didactic teaching and learning environments, from children’s development in groups to a greater focus on children’s individual learning and development. Not least, new forms of distribution, responsibility and management of the work with the children have been implemented.
SSE Riga, a branch of the Stockholm School of Economics, is an international partner to the Business School at Karlstad University. Amos Friedman and Alexandra Mets, students at Karlstad Business School, were sent on a look out trip to Riga during the preparations ahead of the exchange agreement.
Alexandra Mets is in the International Business programme and is herself about to go on an exchange semester next spring.

On May 27, computer science students presented their theses to an open audience that included companies, faculty, and fellow students.
The new format, where students give presentations of their theses, was introduced under the name EPiCS. It featured over 30 presentations held in three parallel sessions. The day concluded with a dinner in Building 21 in the evening.
One of the presentations was given by students Rasmus Melin and Simon Andersson.

Ali Mohammadi has been involved in research on sustainability assessment of bio-based systems since he began his PhD. During his doctoral project at the University of New England in Australia, he studied economic and environmental impacts of biochar and bioenergy production from agricultural biomass.

Hi Glenn! You are studying International Bussiness. What is that like?
- I think International Bussiness is a great alternative. If you are interested in economy and enterprise and want to learn how organizations work International Bussiness is a great choice for you. The education caught my interest when I found out about the variety in courses. For example communication- and ethics courses, were other economy educations rather engage you in fewer subjects.
Björn Smith, tell us about your background
- I spent the most recent years completing a degree in primary education, school years 4–6. I have also been lecturing at Karlstad University - mainly administrative law and local government law as well as jurisprudence and EU law to some extent. I really enjoyed working as a teacher and learned a lot.

Start planning your exchange period well in advance and attend an information meeting about studying abroad with the International Office.

To open a bank account in Sweden you need to identify yourself properly, for example, with a valid passport or Swedish ID-card. Sometimes the bank may require your home country bank to certify your identity.
Before you have opened a bank account, we recommend that you keep your previous account from the former country you were in so we can pay out your salary.

What was it like, studying the Master Programme in Information Systems?
- I had a very good time in Karlstad and I am happy about my choice of education. I had amazing teachers, classmates, tutors and later on even colleagues. The programme consists of many challenging elements and a great freedom of choice.
Why did you choose this programme?
- Originally, I chose Information Systems – the bachelor programme in web and multimedia – because I wanted to be a web developer.

Workshopen som handlade om elbilsladdning samt lagring av solel, lockade ett 70-tal personer. Karlstads universitet, Interreg-projektet ecoInside och Arvika kommun arrangerade i samverkan workshopen där branschfolk delade med sig av sina erfarenheter.

Abstract
When we use any type of digital platform – music streaming services, train ticket bookings, dating apps, e-stores – our digital traces are collected, stored, analyzed and used to classify us and our actions.
Master's student Ida Wadenbrandt worked during the holidays, touring with Robert Wells and Rhapsody in Rock from December 27 to January 6 in China. Intense days that have sparked a desire for more projects abroad and more work in China.
You have done several concerts with Robert Wells with Ingesund's string ensemble before, and as I understand it, you were also the concertmaster then.

Music 60 credits is a one-year course that prepares for higher music studies and focuses on instrumental proficiency as well as ensemble and orchestral playing.
The main instrument instruction includes individual lessons as well as joint lessons with everyone in the respective instrument group at Ingesund.
