Preschool teacher profession and Swedish preschool - restructuring in a time of reduced birth rates and financial cuts

“Stop it” - do you really need all the preschools you are planning?" This is the call in the fall of 2024 from the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SKR) to municipalities planning new preschools. The call highlights a future scenario for Swedish preschools based on a reduced birth rate over the next ten years.
The research on more energy efficient paper manufacturing processes – headed by Björn Sjöstrand – was selected for the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences’ (IVA) the 100 list of 2023.

As part of the law programme at Karlstad Business School, students get to experience a mock trial at Värmland District Court in Karlstad.
On Friday 10 March, students participated in a mock trial in Karlstad as part of the course Methods in Tax Law. Four groups represented the parties – the Swedish Tax Agency and the person charged with tax fraud. The chief judge, Ulrika Melin, welcomed the students in the court waiting room.

Abstract
In this talk, which is based on the book of the same name, I offer a counterintuitive reading of foreign policy by tracing the complex role of mediating materials in shaping the decisions and actions of diplomats and policymakers.
On September 13, the first DAMI workshop was held at Karlstad University. The aim for the workshop was to launch the DAMI working groups and disseminate the center and its activities to a wider audience.
- The technical purpose of the workshop was to exchange information and ideas about recent developments in the area of digitalization for complex manufacturing, says Andreas Kassler, professor in computer science at Karlstad University.

PhD studies in English may be pursued with a specialisation in linguistics or literature, and admitted PhD candidates have the opportunity to design their dissertation projects within either of these subject areas. Thirteen PhD degrees have been awarded since 1999, when English was approved as a doctoral discipline.
The PhD programme in English is largely designed individually.
History of Ideas concerns how our conception of the world and cultural performances have been formed and how they have influenced people throughout the ages. Study in this discipline provides a broad education and places many of today's current issues in a broader context. In the History of Ideas, one learns to think independently, through a dialogue with other people of other times and cultures.
Research data can be shared or disseminated in different ways. This often happens informally between colleagues or research partners. If research data is available via data repositories, others can find, reuse and cite the data.
If data contains personal information, and particularly sensitive data, this may affect possibilities to make it accessible.
Remember that documentation should be as extensive as possible to facilitate assessment and reuse of data.
