Judith Kiros, PhD student in English Literature at Karlstad University, has been awarded Sveriges Radios Lyrikpris 2024 for her poetry book “Det röda är det gränslösa”. – It means a lot to me, says a very happy Judith Kiros. Raviv Gal recently defended his PhD in biology at Karlstad University. The freshwater pearl mussel is one of Sweden's longest-living animals – some individuals can live up to 280 years.

Researchers at Karlstad University, Uppsala University and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York have found that exposure to bisphenol F (BPF) during early pregnancy can be linked to poorer cognitive function in children at 7 years of age. BPF has replaced bisphenol A (BPA) in a wide range of products as the EU has banned BPA in products for children.

I have also been lecturing at Karlstad University - mainly administrative law and local government law as well as jurisprudence and EU law to some extent. Ali Mohammadi has been involved in research on sustainability assessment of bio-based systems since he began his PhD. During his doctoral project at the University of New England in Australia, he studied economic and environmental impacts of biochar and bioenergy production from agricultural biomass.
