Children in lower primary school gain more knowledge about bodily integrity, boundaries and safety after working with the school programme “Respect! My body!” (Stopp! Min kropp!). Immigration to Sweden increased during the 1970s, and many of them were forced into exile. Some of them already were established filmmakers, others were amateurs, albeit with an interest in film. What united them was that they were all strangers in Sweden and that they tried to find their way in a new cultural situation.

What is your current line of work?
- I am a project manager at Attityd, an analytics company in Karlstad. In addition to my work as a project manager, which includes the planning of surveys and evaluations, I work with analyses that develop or support organisations in processes of change. At the moment, one of my most common work tasks is to evaluate and monitor several structural funds, both in the private sector and in the public sector.

Carbon nanotubes are of great interest in both scientific research and commercial applications thanks to the unique properties of the material. A new thesis at Karlstad University looks at how the atomic structure influences the different properties of the material.

- I have a Degree of Master in Corporate Finance and Accounting, and a Degree of Bachelor in Mathematics, Business Administration and Economics, specialising in Financial Analysis.
Why did you choose to study at Karlstad Business School?
- It was important to me to study at a university with a good balance between theory and practical application of the knowledge.

What applies in an agreement with a digital influencer and how honest are people in surveys that then guide how companies act? These were two of the questions during the School of Business Day at Karlstad University.
Cecilia Tisell, Director General of the Swedish Consumer Agency, and lawyer Emy Gustavsson lectured on the complex jungle that today’s digital consumers are exposed to.
Being able to trust that systems are operating correctly is of utmost importance for system operations. How systems are deemed trustworthy or not is a multifaceted and complex topic, with factors such as security, privacy, reliability, transparency, and assurance to name a few. There is a growing awareness of the important role security plays in network services.

Avit Bhowmik and Moa Tunström are involved in the international project Alliance of Regional Innovation Ecosystems Based on Smart Sustainable Specialisation Strategies (ARIES4), funded by Erasmus+. Within the framework of the project, they have worked with indicators for sustainable regional development.
