We offer several educational programs including a four-year Programme in Business and Economics. The usability lab is equipped with eye-tracking technology, specially useful to carry out usability testing of webpages and graphical elements of interactive programs. It is also possible to record where a person looks at films and video commercials.
The Eye-tracker monitor available in the lab is manufactured by Tobii Technology, world leader in eye-tracking and eye-control solutions.Tobii Pro Lab is the software system used for controlling the eye-tracking monitor.

The goal in Agenda 2030 is for global food waste in the entire food chain to be reduced by half. Researchers at CTF are working to develop, communicate and disseminate new knowledge that can support producers, service providers and consumers in this effort.
Fredrik Wikström and Helén Williams have done research for many years on issues related to the environment and sustainability, and the role of packaging in reducing food waste.
The alumnus of the month is a teacher, who decided to build his career on two legs: music and history. He thinks that the principle of mastering one instrument is a universal tool applicable to just about anything.

Between June 18 and 21 Karlstad university will be hosting the 31st International Symposium on Computer-Based Medical Systems, IEEE CBMS 2018. And there is a great interest – more than 200 contributions have been submitted. Selecting amongst the papers is hard work for the international committee of the conference.

The Information Systems department at Kau from the autumn 2016 offer an international semester on the under-graduate level.
The first international semester course delivered was the “Service Management and IT: e-Business” (ISGC07) course.

The research group NewDeP, New Development for Pellet Technology, consists of seven researchers and has been working on pellet research since 2001. The research encompasses how renewable material can become a high-quality pelleted product, in a sustainable and energy efficient way.
The research is process oriented and covers processes from a system perspective with analyses from wet raw material to pelletized product.

Who can apply for Erasmus+ traineeship?
You can apply for an Erasmus+ traineeship scholarship if you are planning to carry out a traineeship or field studies in Europe for at least two months.
