Visitor from Greece - Prof. Kerstin Siakas
2015-04-24As part of Erasmus+, Kerstin Siakas, professor at the Alexander Institute of Technology, Thessaloniki, Greece, visited the department of information systems in 20-24 April.
During her visit, Prof. Siakas participated in a number of course-related activities such as Bachelor thesis supervision and gave a lecture to students in the courses Business Systems II: Development models and Business by Web and Web Analytics. She also gave a short presentation at the business School breakfast meeting on 22 April, and later on the same day a seminar on the topic of family enterprising. In connection with the Business School staff meeting, which she attended, there were great opportunities for her and us to socialise, to exchange experiences and to network. Kerstin Siakas’s visit was a great occasion for discussing several mutual research interests in the fields of social media, e-business, outsourcing and systems development in virtual teams, for example, where ideas for future research projects were hatched. She describes her time at the department of information systems as a fruitful visit with interesting exchange of ideas on education and research issues, and social activities, such as “fika” and staff meetings.
