Welcome to the department of law and to Sweden's newest law programme!
Since fall 2017, we offer a complete law programme. Karlstad University is thus the seventh university in Sweden authorized to issue a law degree. The content of the programme is characterized by collaboration with the surrounding region, proximity between teachers and students, and the link between theoretical knowledge and experience through practical elements.
Cultural Studies concentrates on the conditions and expressions of contemporary culture from different vantage points, taking historical, political, aesthetical, social and economic approaches.
Cultural studies is a cross- and multidisciplinary subject that includes perspectives from the humanities and social sciences.
Karlstad Business School has been a member of AACSB since 2010, which is about a systematic approach to development and change, learning as well as collaboration and external engagement. Now the review for accreditation is approaching.
Offering high-quality education, research and collaboration has always been the aim of Karlstad Business School.

What is your current line of work?
- I am a project manager at Attityd, an analytics company in Karlstad. In addition to my work as a project manager, which includes the planning of surveys and evaluations, I work with analyses that develop or support organisations in processes of change. At the moment, one of my most common work tasks is to evaluate and monitor several structural funds, both in the private sector and in the public sector.
At the BioEco Valley Summit, hosted by Karlstad University, Pro2BE, in collaboration with Paper Province, Region Värmland, and Sting BioEconomy, researchers and industry representatives gathered to discuss the future of the bioeconomy.

CTF, Service Research Center at Karlstad University, seeks a Senior Lecturer in Business Administration with specialisation in marketing to further develop and strengthen CTF's research in the field.
The appointed senior lecturer will be connected to ongoing research at CTF. The position includes a research component, at least 50% of full-time, that will be financed through one of the externally funded research projects conducted at CTF.
