Touch, swipe, och adjustments in the user interface for shell builders and wizards - these are things that some students presently are helping the Ozlab group with.
The web-based Ozlab is now in the process of being further developed to match the needs and requirements arising from the use of mobile units, e.g. swiping functionality and other finger gestures on touch screens.

Around 70 IT students attended the latest SNITS lunch at Karlstad University. This month’s lunch was hosted by Stamford, who discussed their experiences and challenges in continuing the development of large tailor-made business systems, some of which have been in use for more than 20 years.
Stamford was founded in Karlstad in 1990 and has developed from a pure consulting firm into a company focused on product development.

The university board approved the budget for 2025 at the board meeting 27 November. The forward-looking investments in Eunice, doctoral students and associate senior lecturers, which are financed through the university’s agency capital, will continue. The rest of the budget is planned to be balanced.
The university’s finances are affected by various factors in society, the external environment and sometimes also by challenges within the organisation.

Ida Flink was born and raised in Årjäng. After spending a few years abroad following graduation from upper secondary school, she moved to Örebro to enroll in the psychology programme. Immediately after graduation, she went on to doctoral studies at the same university, where the first two years were combined with the practical placement required to become a licenced psychologist.
One year has passed since CTF was appointed "Excellent research group" at Karlstad University, and much has happened since then. Among other things, a new research area – Transformative Service Research – has been initiated along with new researchers and Ph.
Karlstad Business School Advisory Board plays an important role. The board members give valuable insights as to the expectations on Karlstads Business School, not least when it comes to society's needs for research and education. A professor at the university has been dismissed due to personal reasons. The background is that the person violated their obligations according to the employment contract by, among other things, refusing to perform certain tasks and being absent from work without approval from their immediate supervisor. By redistributing work tasks, students have not been affected.
It is very unusual that the Staff Disciplinary Committee has to make this type of decision.
