Internship in the lab

As a part of a course (Informations Systems: Practical Training 7.5 ECTS credits) two Web and multimedia students, Jonatan Jansson and Erik Knutsson, completed their internship in the Usability Lab. Their tasks included development of the new web Ozlab system. For example, Jonathan and Erik developed functions that simplify the shell building process.

The education programme has the focus on sustainable building engineering, which includes structural aspects, material selection and energy-efficient buildings.

Simon Sundberg, previously a student in the Computer Engineering Master programme, established contact with the HITS* company Icomera through the course Performance Modelling and Simulation during year four.

Karlstad University has been granted funding by the EU Commission to join EUNICE, an education and research collaboration with nine other European universities. The idea behind EUNICE is to facilitate student and staff exchanges, as well as creating conditions for close collaboration on research and partnerships with the surrounding community. The project will run over a period of four years and has been granted €14.4 million or 170 SEK .

At Karlstad University, Odd teaches classes in Management Information Systems at all levels. His high-level classes have been much appreciated by foreign students coming to Karlstad. Now, he extended his teaching activities to Australia, as a Visiting EU Erasmus Mobility Academic.

Linking from It's learning, course reading lists etc. When you want to link directly to an e-resource you need to add a proxy prefix before the url of the resource.

On 26 June – 30 June 2017, Karlstad University organises a summer school with a focus on the control and management of network traffic and latency linked to future network services in multiple cloud-based environments. Internet services are becoming a greater part of our daily lives and the more complex the service, the higher the demands placed on the systems and networks behind the services.
The group´s research is focusing on processing of raw materials with biological origin, which can be further processed into a large number of technically useful products.
