Professor Pettersson visiting ASEM in Chisinau

Last year research student Lucia Casap spent a month at Karlstad University on a 2-year grant from UNESCO. In preparation for her second stay, local host Prof. John Sören Pettersson from the Information Systems group, made his visit to ASEM and met Mrs. Casap’s supervisor, Prof. Oxana Savciuc, as well as ASEM Rector, Prof. Grigore Belostecinic, representatives from External Relations office, professors from Informatics Ion Bolun, Ion Covalenco, Sergiu Tutunaru, and Boris Delimarschi, and visited the student incubator and one of its “residents” and its director Tatiana Bucos.

Mrs. Casap had also prepared some study visits related to her research project. She and Prof. Pettersson visited Mr. Gremalschi, Former Minister of Education, Team Leader of EMIS Team, Leading Consultant in IT solutions in education; Mrs. Golubev, Head of (Municipal) General Direction of Education, Youth and Sports IT Department, from Chisinau;  School Director Mrs. Rodica Postu at lyceum “M. De Cervantes” in Chisinau, and two of the teachers of that school. At all three places long discussions and at times demonstrations of the EMIS (or SIME in the Rumanian language) took place.
