It is possible to appeal decisions regarding your eligibility for courses and programmes for which you have applied. You can only submit an appeal after you have read your admissions notification
If you believe that your case has been mishandled, contact the University admissions office immediately and preferably before the first and second selection respectively.
Not all admissions decisions can be appealed.
On September 1–3, Retake with researchers from Service Research Center (CTF) at Karlstad University attended Gothenburg Culture Festival to test a rotation-based system for recyclable cups.
CTF is one of the actors in the research project Retake, which aims to demonstrate how a rotation system with reusable mugs and plates can contribute to increased sustainability, reduced littering and lower costs for cleaning and waste management.

Stefanija Klaric from Darwin, Australia was supposed to visit us three years ago, but then the pandemic happened. Finally, she has arrived at Karlstad University and is currently exchanging experiences with fellow engineering scholars.

As part of Erasmus+, Kerstin Siakas, professor at the Alexander Institute of Technology, Thessaloniki, Greece, visited the department of information systems in 20-24 April.
During her visit, Prof. Siakas participated in a number of course-related activities such as Bachelor thesis supervision and gave a lecture to students in the courses Business Systems II: Development models and Business by Web and Web Analytics.

Feminist Geographies – Space, Gender and Activist Repertoires
The talk will revisit the spatial turn through the lenses of feminist theory and postcolonial theory, and explore and show how feminist geography, media geography and theories on intersectionality might enrich our understanding of historical and present examples of gender activism and housing activism.

We did research on the effects of flotation-REST, that is, relaxation and pain treatment using flotation tanks. This is one of Karlstad University’s research projects that is best known to the general public and it has received considerable international attention.

In a new doctoral thesis from CTF, Service Research Center at Karlstad University, Claes Högström describes different approaches to accomplishing this from a consumer experience perspective.
