Cristian Hernandez Benet, doctoral student in Computer Science at Karlstad University, has been awarded the prize Best Paper Award at the IEEE CloudNet conference, a large international conference focused on cloud networks in Coimbra, Portugal, that took place 4-6 November.
“The most prominent cloud network researchers in the world gather for this conference, so Cristian has received this prize in keen competition.
Karlstad University houses a Clinical Training Centre (KTC), where students have the opportunity to prepare for practical placements and their future professions. As research field, Nursing rests on an academic and clinical foundation.

This talk develops the concept of kinematics in order to analyse digital interfaces and systems. Digital kinematics focuses on how digital systems are formed of paired elements that work to enable and constrain movement, which in turn alters the kind of sensations user’s experience.

2020-04-21: Political theories and concepts are to an increasing degree applied as analytical tools for the negative aspects of climate adaptation (maladaptation).

Günter Alce, PhD student at Lund University, who gave a presentation in Karlstad in the beginning of the summer about his extraordinary combination of Wizard-of-Oz technique, Augmented Reality, and Virtual Reality, received Professor John Sören Pettersson when he was visitng Lund on Spetember 22.
The project objective is to establish damage functions for cloudburst risk assessments based on expert knowledge. A more long-term objective is to support risk reduction and climate adaptation, with a focus on risk assessment methods for cloudburst damage.
