At the department of Chemical Engineering, Karlstad University, we have a strong research environment around forest products and processes. We are performing research of how pulp and paper should be manufactured and of how the paper should be coated and printed.

Digital Internationalisation in Vocational Education (DIVE)
(2021–2023)
The DIVE project had the primary goal of supporting vocational student-teachers in developing and strengthening intercultural competence, English speaking skills, digital competence, and global awareness within the three overarching themes.
Intercultural Studies offers a wide range of courses focusing on different aspects of intercultural society and the philosophical traditions of the subject. Courses are taught in Swedish and English, and offered as distance or on-campus courses, full-time or part-time. At Karlstad University, students can choose intercultural studies as the main field of study in a Degree of Bachelor of Arts.
