» Education and Bildung in the Anthropocene (EBAN)
The Anthropocene concept denotes not only the realities of endangered Earth systems but also the many controversies surrounding this predicament’s interpretation and conceptualisation.
Hence, it reflects education’s need to address both the factual consequences and the normative questions of guilt, justice, ecojustice and human self-understanding, to which the Bildung dimension is central.

What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you think about the word ‘market’?
Usually, everybody will have an idea of what a market is and can give a specific meaning for the word. However, if you look closer, these meanings and the assumptions connected to it can be very different from one another. This is true for both the “everyday” and “academic” use of the word.

Kristin Svärd shares some insights from her research; causes, effects, and solutions on how to prevent food waste.
It might seem like a problem that would be quite easy to solve, food waste. It easily resonates, and most people and organizations would probably agree with a “let’s stop throwing away food” mission. It is like my co-author puts it; No one wakes up in the morning thinking “today, I’m going to waste food”.

We often think and visualize life as a cycle, beginning with birth and ending with death; where each phase is characterized by specific events, such as the discovery and development of childhood, the identity seeking of adolescence, and towards the end of a long life – the wear of aging.
