Why did you choose Karlstad University?
Karlstad University has a good reputation and graduates from the business and economics programme at the time were extremely satisfied with their studies. The university college had been there for some time but the university was new.

On December 17, 2010, Mohamed Bouazizi, a Tunisian street vendor, set himself on fire as a protest against the autocratic regimes in his Arab country. Bouazizi’s act was captured on film and quickly spread throughout the world. The images and film clips of Bouazizi triggered protests and demonstrations against regimes in other Arab countries. Bouazizi set in motion an uprising against Arab regimes that is known as the Arab Spring.

Internationalisation is one of Karlstad University’s six strategic goals. The university promotes internationalisation in various ways, with regard to both teachers and students. Erasmus + ICM provides the opportunity for students to travel to countries outside of Europe in order to conduct field studies and complete degree projects.

In the course Business Development from a Process and Partnership Perspective, students at Karlstad Business School have been given the opportunity to collaborate with several organisations. Students have been helping to map out business processes and develop improved work procedures using digitalisation.

- During my bachelor's and master's studies in Iran, I studied Computer Engineering, specializing in Hardware Engineering. Upon moving to Sweden, I worked as a project assistant for the European project A4Cloud at the Computer Science Department at Karlstad University.
