As a young university, we aim to preserve an academic tradition with roots dating back to the Middle Ages while also considering our own history and identity. In Karlstad, we have chosen to shape our academic ceremony to reflect our culture while connecting to national and international university traditions.
Originally, our mission was to educate professionals in the most knowledge-demanding fields of law, medicine, and theology.
