Seminar series on Service System Transformation
2019-10-29On December 9-13, CTF, Service Research Center at Karlstad University will host a multi-disciplinary seminar series consisting of five talks on Service System Transformation, in which researchers from different perspectives and approaches within service research will illuminate the research area.
The seminars will focus on global societal challenges and how transformation within social systems works.
"What connects today’s societal challenges is that all are systematic. Citizens, managers, and decision makers are are facing dynamic and complex systems of problems that are constantly changing and interacting with each other. Solving these challenges requires changes at the system level, and in collaboration between different actors. In the seminar series we will discuss different service perspectives and frameworks that can help in understanding how such changes can be enabled and orchestrated in social systems in which service exchange is a central activity." says CTF researcher Kaisa Koskela-Huotari who has been involved in developing the seminar series.
The series consists of five seminars that will educate, inspire and engage, and are led by leading researchers. You are welcome to attend all five seminars or pick the ones most valuable to you.

The seminar series is primarily aimed at researchers, doctoral students, undergraduate students and also to professionals who would like to get an introduction to the research area and examples on current research.
