From 1 January 2017, Reine Lundin has been the new Dean of the Faculty of Health, Science and Technology at Karlstad University, and has subsequently also taken the role as chairperson of the management group for the research profile HITS (high-quality network services in a mobile world). Together with five Swedish industrial companies and funded by the Knowledge Foundation Computer Science at Karlstad University continues developing the HITS research profile.

Touch, swipe, och adjustments in the user interface for shell builders and wizards - these are things that some students presently are helping the Ozlab group with. The web-based Ozlab is now in the process of being further developed to match the needs and requirements arising from the use of mobile units, e.g. swiping functionality and other finger gestures on touch screens.

Rasmus Dahlberg, a computer engineering student at Karlstad University, had a summer job at the university a few months ago. This has now led to his participation in an international conference on secure IT systems. During the summer of 2016, Rasmus worked as assistant in HITS, High Quality Networked Services in a Mobile World, a project conducted by Computer Science at Karlstad University.

She earned a Ph.D. from Chiba University Graduate School of Horticulture, transitioning from environmental science and her life as ecologist to the field of landscape participatory planning, discovering greenery's social and cultural sides.

The contest is part of the Nordic championship, Nordic Collegiate Programming Contest. Nordtrad is a folk music conference for students and teachers in higher music education from the Nordic and Baltic countries. The conference is arranged every year in rotation by different host schools, and in 2023 Ingesund School of Music is the proud organizer. During the week, students from seven different countries are invited to participate in lectures, workshops, concerts, field trips, jam sessions and fellowship.
