ORIENTATION DAYS FOR ALL INCOMING INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS BEFORE THE SEMESTER STARTSAll incoming international students, both exchange and international programme students, are welcome to start the semester with the orientation days at Karlstad University one week before the semester starts. During these days, you will receive important practical information about studying at Karlstad University and also information about the Swedish society.
Is an app the right way to guide visitors to the central Hospital in Karlstad? A new research study will try to provide an answer to that question. The study is a breakthrough for research in real location within DigitalWell.
The methodology is developed at Karlstad University and for the trials a prototyping system called Ozlab is used.

Title: "GUYnecology: The Missing Science of How Men’s Health Matters for Reproduction"

Abstract: Medical researchers have been making headlines with a surprising series of findings about how the health status of men’s bodies prior to conception can directly affect the health of their children.
The function of the steering committee is to contribute to the strategic planning of the center, support in dissemination of centers activities, help to build networking community around the center and propose centers budget.
On 18-20 of June, BioWiseTrans partners Nordregio, NIBIO, LUKE, Oslo University and Karlstad University came together in Hamar and sorroundings for its second workshop. Like last time and importantly, different stakeholders from Norway, Sweden and Finland joined us.
The meeting focused on the need to address and study conflicts and synergies in the ongoing transition towards a fully biobased economy.
The word cooperation means that several different parties work together. It is interesting to determine what the interaction between research, industry and public services can lead to.
Karlstad University has received funding from the KK Foundation to build an industrial research school in forest-based bioeconomy and digitization. The project runs from June 2023 to May 2029.
EXACT is a collaboration between two strong research groups at Karlstad University - Pro2BE and DAMI4.0 - eight companies and several industry partners.

Under många år har frågan om att kunna erbjuda livslångt lärande varit en viktig del för högskolor och universitet . Denna fråga är idag mer aktuellt än någonsin med tanke på den omvandling som idag sker inom olika yrkesområden. Samtidigt som behoven ökat så har också konkurrensen ökat från olika andra aktörer.
Vice Chancellor Johan Sterte, recently appointed the new board for CRS as the mandate period had run out on May 31. Some members of the board are new, while some guarantee a continutiy to the development of CRS.
"The deracialization of Sweden", is a recently published research anthology focusing on issues of race, racism, anti-racism and whiteness in a Swedish post-war and contemporary context. The anthology is edited by Tobias Hübinette and Peter Wikström, researchers at the Research Group for Culture Studies (Kufo) at Karlstad University.
Henryk, could you briefly tell us about your background before joining Karlstad Business School and the Service Research Center (CTF)?

The Swedish Institute for Educational Research has granted funding to three projects at Karlstad University focusing on practice-oriented education research. The university also has a co-applicant involved in another project. The objective of the projects is improved teaching within the Swedish school system.
The researchers at Karlstad University who have been granted funding all have a particular interest in subject-specific education.

This lecture is a presentation of my postdoctoral project, which is a study with intersectional overlaps of race, sexuality, class and symbolic embodiment of the Swedish nation on stage, film and in public life in the United States and in Sweden 1850–1990.
