I am a PhD student in business administration and researching food waste at the Business School and The Service Research Centre (CTF) and took my master's degree at the Business school and was very satisfied with my education. ... What research area will you conduct research in and what will you focus on?
- I will conduct research in the organizational psychology field focusing on the individual in organizational change. It is a well-known fact that organizational change often entails major challenges for employees within an organization, and that many difficulties linked to different change initiatives often can be traced back to psychological or psychosocial factors in the individual.

... You recently hade your midway seminar, how did it go and can you tell us about your research?
It went well! I received good feedback from the opponent and know what I need to continue working on. I am researching customer experiences and am interested in the process and process measurement tools that can capture customer experiences in real-time. Previous research has mainly focused on the outcome of an experience and is based on memories of a customer experience.

The university board has decided on a strategic investment to recruit more doctoral students. SEK50 million will be set aside to increase the number of doctoral students during the period 2025 to 2028.
The investment is funded by the university’s agency capital and will be distributed on an annual basis, amounting to SEK12.5 million per year.
The first steps will be taken already in 2024.
Making research and science useful (4.5 credits) is a doctoral course that deals with how knowledge from your research can be useful for society, business and academia.
The findings, experiences, and ideas that emerge from research have traditionally been utilised through academic publication and teaching programmes. However, academic impact alone is no longer enough for a successful research career.

"Digitalization engages many of us. More and more services related to our everyday lives are becoming digitalized, and it is interesting to see how people relate to this and what value it adds to their lives.
Doctoral studies lead to a PhD in English, the highest university degree. A PhD will qualify you for a career in academia.
At Karlstad University, we offer PhD programmes in English with specialisation in linguistics or literature, and PhD candidates have the opportunity to design their dissertation projects within either of these subject areas.

– Thank you, it feels good! I had my midway seminar just before Christmas, which was rewarding. It was a good opportunity to summarize how the project has progressed so far and articulate my thoughts about the future.

– I have over 20 years of work experience from Lodz in Poland, New York, Stockholm, and London, with over ten years dedicated to service design.

– I have a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management from Karlstad Business School, where I studied the master's program in Innovation and Service Development. During my time at Karlstad Business School, I also taught mathematics to first-year students, which was both fun and educational.
Two PhD students and one student from Karlstad University have been to Google's 1st PhD Student Summit on Web Application Security, taking place 18-20 April 2016.
At the summit, in the Google Engineering Office in Munich, Germany, the students had the opportunity to explore complex and large-scale computing challenges.
