Main objectives:
To understand the role of the molecular interactions in polymer-polymer de-mixing during thin film formation, by monitoring it in-situ, imaging it at scales from nano- to micrometers, and modelling its dynamics.
To understand how molecular interactions can be manipulated by external stimuli with the goal to manipulate morphology.
To rationalize and optimize morphologies for optical and electronic properties of the films.
To develop solution formulations for sustainable coa
Vice Chancellor Johan Sterte, recently appointed the new board for CRS as the mandate period had run out on May 31. Some members of the board are new, while some guarantee a continutiy to the development of CRS.

This PhD project focuses on academically gifted students’ relation to physical activity during compulsory schooling years. All students spend a large part of their childhood in school settings, which is an important arena for children’s learning and development. All children, and thereby students, should have the opportunity to be physically active in school settings based on their individual needs and abilities.
Doctoral programme in Chemistry at Karlstad University
PhD studies in chemistry are given with five specializations at Karlstad University: analytical chemistry, biochemistry, physical chemistry, materials science, and chemistry education. Chemistry as a subject includes the study of basic and applied processes at the molecular level.
On the 10 May Monika Rydstedt Nyman successfully defended her licentiate thesis titled "Learning and knowledge sharing from management of extreme weather induced impacts on the Swedish transport infrastructure - Case study of the Swedish Transport Administration".

All over the world, digital tools are increasingly being used to improve and streamline healthcare services. This does not only lead to positive results, but also creates opportunities for new types of threats regarding information security and privacy.
Information security and protection of privacy are some of the most important factors in the development of high-quality tools in the healthcare sector.

Activists and researchers have voiced concerns about feminism turning too much to criminalisation. The term ‘carceral feminism’ was coined to describe how feminist calls for law reform have supported the law-and-order agenda in the U.S. At the same time, scholars have opposed this way of framing feminist engagement with law reform and instead argued for a more nuanced understanding.

The two biggest challenges in mastering transport through heterogeneously active materials are computational intractability, and presence of uncertainty: most microstructures are either active (freely evolving), or have incomplete input data making exact computations impossible.
Recently, there has been a significant progress in the understanding of intractability, based on mathematical theory of homogenization and efficient multiscale numerical methods.

Innovations start with ideas. Knowledge of how to create, develop, and select ideas that lead to successful innovations is therefore essential.
This course will give you anoverview of idea management practices, and teaches you how to manage the generation, development, and evaluationof ideas for innovations.
