Muhammad Ovais Ahmad, associate professor in Computer Science, was presented with Best Paper Award at the 2024 International Conference on Technologies & Organization for his work, "Symbiotic Nexus between Social Sustainability and Large-Scale Agility in Nordic Technology Enterprises." Often when radical technological development happens, I gaze at it from a distance and try to understand it's impact on my life. This time I got to be a part of the revolution. I’m talking about the eye-tracking revolution, a journey that has been amazing to be a part of during the past 10 years. A journey that has just started.
Ten years ago I approached Tobii Technology with a radical suggestion, to lend me an eye-tracker.
During spring, we ask questions to our visitors in the library in order to get feedback about our library services. A whiteboard has been placed in the reading room on floor 2, with various questions changing weekly. We look forward to the answers from our visitors! Thanks to Malmö University Library for the inspiration.

– My research improves our understanding of how to strengthen the rights of children and better protect them in a digital setting, says Germaine Hillerström, who recently defended her doctoral thesis in civil law at Karlstad Business School.
The subject first piqued Germaine Hillerström’s interest when she read about children who - unbeknownst to their parents - had made digital purchases, which raises the issue of responsibility and the legal capacity of children.

The library and the Bibsam consortia has signed an read and publish agreement with Taylor & Francis for 2025-2027, which gives researchers at Karlstad University the possibility to publish open access in approximately 2,200 of Taylor & Francis hybrid journals without charges.

ELF describes the use of English as a communication tool by speakers of different native languages.

We are a core group of nine senior researchers, with a number of postdoctoral researchers and graduate students. We maintain an extensive international network, with collaborators throughout Europe, North America, and beyond.
