Critical studies on age and ageing focus on social dimensions of age and ageing in everyday life and in society. The research group is multidisciplinary with a mutual interest in critical and social science perspectives on age and ageing.
Instead of taking age for granted, the research group’s critical perspective focuses on age as an important basis for the distribution of opportunities, rights, and obligations in society.
Many important issues, such as climate change, social welfare issues and social and spatial planning, often fall through the cracks between different sectors and stakeholders. This can lead to a lack shared responsibility and important issues being left unresolved.

What are the reasons for managers to engage in servitization, and how do they justify their efforts within their organisations? To answer this question, we studied six different firms of various sizes, from 10 to 4000 employees. The firms were from different types of industries, although they were all manufacturing companies with a strong belief in services.

There is a shift happening within service design from designing something "out there" to designing ourselves. This shift opens up questions about how we might design our "systemic-self" and what new approaches we need to do so.
In service design, there is often a focus on mapping the service systems we wish to change. We create personas, draw user journeys and plot out the different stakeholders.

Touch, swipe, och adjustments in the user interface for shell builders and wizards - these are things that some students presently are helping the Ozlab group with.
The web-based Ozlab is now in the process of being further developed to match the needs and requirements arising from the use of mobile units, e.g. swiping functionality and other finger gestures on touch screens.

Karlstad University Library has signed an open access deal for 2025 with MDPI through the national Bibsam consortia. MDPI is an open access publisher based in Switzerland which publishes more than 400 journals, mostly in the sciences but there are also some titles in the humanities and social sciences. The deal gives KaU researchers 20% discount to the article processing charge.

I completed my MSc from EIT Digital Master Program with a focus on innovation in Security and Privacy. During this program, I completed 1st year from University of Trento, Italy and 2nd year from Technical University of Berlin,Germany.
