PhD Student Jana Huck studies patient and employee involvement during the refinement of ideas for improving the Swedish Public Healthcare Service.
The Swedish public healthcare sector is under immense pressure to innovate in order to adjust to major challenges. These challenges not only relate to a lack of resources and medical staff, but also to the demographic change towards an aging society and increasingly unhealthy society.
Absolent: Eric Matteusson, "My research is about cleaning air from industrial processes. The research focuses on two parts: filtration of carbon dioxide and filtration of oil mist. The purpose of the research on carbon dioxide is to evaluate the feasibility of separating carbon dioxide on an efficient way to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in conjunction with existing filtration of the air.
The students, enrolled in the Master of Science in Chemical Engineering Programme with a focus on forest bioeconomy, had the opportunity to visit Billerud Gruvön.

The Internet and our ever increasingly digital world hold many advantages, but these come at a price – our privacy. Through an international network of doctoral students, the Privacy&Us project aims at finding solutions to give citizens the benefits of digitalisation, while still protecting their privacy.
The projects involves thirteen creative, entrepreneurial and innovative doctoral students whose projects focus on online privacy and usability.

I call my PhD project “The scientific artist”. In this project, I explore contemporary hybrid art, and its heteromedial implications. Several contemporary writers and artists are experimenting with the breakdown and mixing of the classic disciplinary categories. These experiments question our perception of the different languages and media we face today.
