New this year is the option to apply for an open genre as an alternative to our traditional genre areas for main instruments in both the music teacher program and the one-year course Music 60 credits. The open genre is aimed at those who play music in a genre outside the areas of folk music, classical music, or jazz.

It will also be up to the individual teacher and his/her supervisor to choose the courses that are most relevant in their particular case. The language café

The language café at the university library will continue during the spring semester 2018. The language café will take place every tuesday between 4 pm - 6 pm. The time and place are the same but now students are in charge of the café. The Language Café is aimed for anyone who wants to improve there spoken Swedish, but you need to be able to speak and understand some Swedish to participate.

The symposium Here, There, Everywhere: The Figure of the Serial Killer addresses this curious ubiquity, asking questions such as: Why is the figure of the serial killer so fascinating to so many people?
