CTRIVE® 3.0 is a suite of nine workshops designed to enhance the competitiveness of participating researchers, and can be tailored to the needs of individual research groups or departments. The workshops cover a range of topics, including funding policy, innovation and utilisation, research pitching and marketing, and project management.
Karlstad University offers courses in English for Specific Purposes (ESP), with an emphasis on business and technical English. The ESP courses are available both to currently enrolled students and to those who are professionally active in the fields of business and science.
The room was crowded when Elvenite hosted the latest SNITS lunch at Karlstad University. IT students had the opportunity to listen to Pär Andersson, who was talking about the effects of digitalisation on the food industry, while providing examples from his company’s day-to-day experience.

Marie Karlsson Tuula, a Professor of Civil Law at Karlstad University, has been appointed one of the 2020 ambassadors against honour-based violence by the national organisation GAPF (Glöm aldrig Pela och Fadime). The reason is that she has taken an important stand against honour-based violence and is committed to working against it.

In 2014, he received, together with colleague Marc Katz, Karlstad University's medal of honor for his commitment to the university's development of collaborations in Varanasi and Dharamsala, India.

In recent years, there has been plenty of reports in media about single men who have migrated. In this reporting, there are often implicit assumptions about how lonely men without strong connections to their families of origin create particular problems for the countries that receive them, not least because of risks of sexual assaults.

As a student in nursing, you have the opportunity to apply for international exchange studies in various countries. You can also participate in international, digital activities from home.
Which countries are available to visit may vary depending on programme and which semester you want to go out on exchange studies.
The EU-funded project Service Design for Innovation, SDIN, aims to build a research platform in service design and innovation through a Europeean training network for early stage reseachers. The project started in January 2015 and is now at the half-way point.
During the first two years the project has achieved the expected results, and the network is well integrated and communicates regularly.

The Treklöver quality assessment report has been finalised on programmes leading to degrees in business administration, economics, statistics and the Master of Science in Business and Economics.
Programmes and courses in Economics, Business Administration and Law are part of Karlstad Business School at the university. The Business School's motto is "Knowledge is worth nothing without the ability to use it".
Around 2 800 students are enrolled at Karlstad Business School.
Starting 1 January, restaurants, cafes, and organisers serving over 150 people per day in Sweden must offer customers the option of takeaway in reusable cups and containers instead of disposable ones.

Donald Trump is now elected the new US President and a question he raised during his campaign was the confidence of the voting system and election result. So, should Hilary Clinton now question the result? Melanie Volkamer, professor of Computer Science at Karlstad University, researches on e-voting and says that the systems used today could be questioned but there are ways of avoiding this.
Currently, different voting systems are used in the USA.
