Carl Unander-Scharin was born in Stockholm in 1964 and graduated from Adolf Fredriks musikgymnasium in 1983. He continued his studies at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, where he studied church music, choir education and the supplementary teacher education.

Motivational interviewing (MI) is a collaborative communication style used to promote individuals’ own motivation and self-efficacy. In seeking to develop and strengthen teachers’ relational approaches and knowledge, and to support pupils’ motivation, interest in applying MI in schools has increased.

The Research Group for Culture Studies, KuFo, invites interested researchers to take part, with or without presentation, in the workshop Satire as Perspective on the Contemporary.
The workshop will take place on Wednesday 17 October 2018, 10.15-17.30, in Minerva, Building 12, at Karlstad University, Karlstad, Sweden.
The workshop is interdisciplinary, and is intended for researchers who engage with satire from different perspectives.

...you have recently spent a week in Croatia on an Erasmus exchange. What did you do there?
- I have been at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER) at the University of Zagreb. This is the most prestigious university and engineering faculty in Croatia. I was there for one week on Erasmus teaching mission. I held lectures in two courses, gave student consultations for master and PhD students and I held a research colloquium.

On June 12-15 researchers from CTF, Service Research Center at Karlstad University, Sweden, gathered in Porto for the QUIS15 symposium. The symposium is held every other year and attracts around 250 leading researchers and executives from all over the world.

Fredrik Svensson highlights neglected aspects of a decades-long authorship that has produced a considerable number of novels, plays, and screenplays.
