The overall aim is to, with a focus on benefits for the entire transport system, develop further improve and test new and established methods, tools and working practices based on a service logic and which are adapted to contexts where innovation takes place in collaboration with others. Specfic 2021 takes place on December 1–3 at Karlstad University. The conference features keynotes by Professor Edward James (University College Dublin), Dr. Merja Polvinen (University of Helsinki), and Professor Jonas Linderoth (University of Gothenburg). See the program and a presentation of the keynote speakers below.
There are different ‘routes’ to open access publishing.In this workshop, we will talk about which ones are best suited for your needs. You will also learn about the differences between journals and what they can mean for your publications.Science Skills To Go is a workshop series at the library aimed at researchers at Karlstad University. You do not need to register for the workshop; you are welcome to participate anyway.

IT, project management and ERP systems is a programme offered as distance education. How did you experience your studies?
“The first two years I studied part time and the last two full time. I thought that it worked very well and I was abroad most of the time, in Australia, the USA and Spain. It was fun and made distance education a better alternative, even if one sometimes misses meeting fellow students.

Research and collaboration are an important part of the department's activities. We strive for an interdisciplinary research environment and to be a leader in our specialist areas. We also collaborate with companies, authorities and organizations.
The department carries out a wide range of research projects in a variety of legal disciplines.
The schedule is continually updated and subject to change. Seminar materials are normally distributed via the KuFo and ISLI mailing lists. Anyone not reached by these lists should feel free to contact us.

Research is pursued by doctoral students and lecturers, individually and in various projects and areas. Disciplinary research has a focus on boundary-crossing in terms of theme, content and interdisciplinarity, for instance, and many of the individual projects are linked to this field. All the researchers are also members of the Culture Studies Research Group (KuFo).
Kufos research seminar series is open to anyone interested and takes place once a month.
- Measures taken to reduce the impact on ecosystems are central, and with our long-term knowledge development to reduce food waste, the project can make a difference, says Helén Williams.
Helén Williams is an associate professor in Environmental and Energy Systems at the Service Research Center (CTF) and has high expectations on the project, which will begin in the spring 2023 together with Nifa, an industry association for local food and beverage companies in Värml

The current global pandemic has brought with it many challenges. Most obviously, the costs are seen in the lives lost and the health, emotional, social, and economic challenges that many people face around the globe due to the pandemic.
We offer a large number of courses, for students who want to try dancing full time and who want to mature as a dancer before embarking on a career, courses for less experienced dancers who want to try dance and courses for ordinary dancers who want to gain additional knowledge and experience.

The Swedish IT-Security Network for PhD students (SWITS) was created in 2001.

May 11 Prof. Pettersson and Malin Wik visited Trinity College in Dublin.
Ass. prof. Gavin Doherty, one of the principle investigator of WebWOZ, showed around and presented the utilization of WebWOZ in studies of interaction design. The Irish group has developed this system for Wizard-of-Oz prototyping for language-based applications and has also made a comparative study of such prototyping for other kinds of systems.

- I will spend four months as Visiting Professor at The Center for Service Leadership. I will meet and work with Professors Mary Jo Bitner och Amy Ostrom.

The research group ROSE, Research on Subject-specific Education, is rooted in several academic disciplines specializing in different school subjects. ROSE researchers share a focus on subject-specific education in relation to teaching and learning (what in a European research tradition is termed ‘subject didactics’). ROSE monitors practitioner-relevant issues, such as how teachers and students jointly manage subject matter and teaching contents.
He was supposed to become a scientist but has always loved singing and writing lyrics. During high school, he started writing and producing music using his computer. By early summer, Kevin Larsson will graduate with a bachelor's degree in music production from Ingesund School of Music.
Kevin grew up as far south in Sweden as you can get, specifically in Ystad.

Risk- and environmental studies is a wide, multidisciplinary discipline focused on analysis, decision making, and transformation processes related to societal risks, environmental issues and contexts.
Research within Risk- and environmental studies revolve around the interactions between individual, society and natural environment and especially on unwanted consequences that can be formulated as environmental problems, societal risks or injustices.
