Students from the upper secondary school Brogårdgymnasiet in Kristinehamn visited Karlstad University
During friday the June 3rd second- and third year students from the Technology programme and Electricity programme at the upper secondary school Brogårdsgymnasiet visited us at the Information System department.
STINT, the Swedish Foundation for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education, has granted SEK 10 million to the university collaboration MIRAI 3.0.

On December 3, Jan Wallander and Tom Hedelius Foundation, and the Tore Browaldh's Foundation announced 20 new recipients of the Wallander Scholarship for outstanding doctoral dissertations. One of the recipients is PhD Kaisa Koskela-Huotari at CTF, Service Research Center at Karlstad University.

Teaching in Higher education 1 & 2
The Centre for Teaching and Learning offers two courses on university pedagogy. They are adapted to the participants and their development in the role as university tutors, and provide knowledge of what teaching in higher education entails.
Vice Chancellor Johan Sterte, recently appointed the new board for CRS as the mandate period had run out on May 31. Some members of the board are new, while some guarantee a continutiy to the development of CRS.

On 3–6 June, over 275 conference participants gathered in Rome to attend QUIS19 – The 19th International Research Symposium on Service Excellence in Management. This international conference, now considered the foremost in service research, has its roots in Karlstad – and began as an idea at the Service Research Center (CTF).
“QUIS was born at a time when services were gaining importance but still remained a relatively unexplored research field,” says Per Kristensson.

Karlstad University will only process applications received by the application deadline.
