The 18th International Research symposium on service excellence in management (QUIS18) was organized by VinUniversity in Hanoi Vietnam, June 20-23. The main theme of the conference was “Re-imagining service to enhance human life and society”.
Despite the huge success of cellular networks and the Long Term Evolution (LTE), there are challenges ahead. The performance requirements of LTE yield massive signaling traffic, imposing further demands on already strained networks [36]. In an effort to manage the growing volume of data in cellular networks, there has been an increasing interest in deploying relays, distributed antennas, and smallcell access points (e.g., pico- and femtocells) in residential areas, subways and offices.

Academic Celebration 2023 will be celebrated on 20 October in Aula Magna at Karlstad University. All professors and honorary doctors are presented at Karlstad CCC in the morning and installed and promoted at the ceremony in the afternoon.

Angela Caridà, research fellow at University Magna Graecia of Catanzaro, Italy, will be visiting CTF during the next three months. Angela Caridà have a Ph D in Economic and Management of Healthcare. Her main areas of interest are service innovation, interactive marketing and co-creation.
Months of preparation went in to the first week of CRE8 Europe hosted in Karlstad. A sunny but chilly September morning greeted the students. It turned out to be a week full of meetings, new friendships, challenging tasks and new cultural experiences. The students (except for the Karlstad students) where all booked at Karlstad City Hostel. A small hotel/hostel with lounge/dining room for the students to meet and hang out during off hours of the program.

And there is a great interest – more than 200 contributions have been submitted. Selecting amongst the papers is hard work for the international committee of the conference.
