In a new doctoral thesis from CTF, Service Research Center at Karlstad University, Claes Högström describes different approaches to accomplishing this from a consumer experience perspective.

The aim of this conference is to discuss the use of mobile locative media and the way the availability of various forms of location awareness and proximity awareness provides resources for the reshaping of mobilities (with the pervasive figure of the 'detour') and sociality in urban public place
Researchers at the Service Research Center (CTF) at Karlstad University have written a report about Nordic food waste with recommendations for political measures. The message is clear:
– We can either take forceful action right now, or else abandon the goal of reducing food waste by 50 percent by 2030.
The researchers have identified initiatives and measures that resulted in less food waste in restaurants, schools, retail businesses and Nordic households.

A glimpse from a yearly upcoming symposium (except during pandemic 2020 and 2021) on Marketing Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility. The symposium started 2011 in London with an initiative of Professor Patrick E. Murphy, Mendoza College of Business, University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, USA, specializes in marketing and business ethics.
The symposium has been hosted by several Universities/ Business schools around Europe and USA.

The book ”Arbete & Välfärd” (Work & Welfare) will be out in February 2019, but has already been awarded one on of the honorary awards of Kurslitteraturpriset – Sweden's highest award to authors of new course literature.
Academic Celebration 2023 will be celebrated on 20 October in Aula Magna at Karlstad University. All professors and honorary doctors are presented at Karlstad CCC in the morning and installed and promoted at the ceremony in the afternoon.

Researchers at CTF have been awarded 4.6 million SEK from the KK Foundation for research on servitization in manufacturing companies. In the project, the researchers will develop a reference model to create a better understanding of how servitization is done in practice.
Globalization and increased competition have led to that many manufacturing companies have increased their service offers, not least in terms of advanced services.

Around 70 IT students attended the latest SNITS lunch at Karlstad University. This month’s lunch was hosted by Stamford, who discussed their experiences and challenges in continuing the development of large tailor-made business systems, some of which have been in use for more than 20 years.
Stamford was founded in Karlstad in 1990 and has developed from a pure consulting firm into a company focused on product development.
