Andrea Pető, Professor of Gender Studies and historian at Central European University, Vienna, Austria
Andrea Pető is a historian and a Professor at the Department of Gender Studies at Central European University, Vienna, Austria, a Research Affiliate of the CEU Democracy Institute, Budapest, and a Doctor of Science of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
Her works on gender, politics, Holocaust, and war have been translated into 23 languages.

The cocktail of man-made chemicals that we are exposed to daily is a health risk which current regulations and risk assessment overlook. This is the conclusion of the EU Horizon 2020 EDC-MixRisk project that is now being presented.
We are exposed to a large number of man-made chemicals in our everyday life. This creates combinations of chemical mixtures, to which we are subjected during our whole lifespan.

In this course you will learn more about: the concept service and the development towards value creation through service, service quality and quality development, and service development and innovation. Helén Williams and Fredrik Wikström at CTF, Service Research Center at Karlstad University, conduct research about the role of packaging in reducing food waste. Research that has led to a nomination at “Dagligvarugalan 2020, for their contributions to the grocery retail industry, as one of three finalists in the category "Sustainability Initiative of the Year".
On November 16-17, the DRIVE project held a two-day kick-off meeting at Karlstad University. The aim for the kick-off was to get the DRIVE and its subprojects officially started and to let all partner representatives and researchers meet face-to-face.

In the Swedish Sports Confederation's Guidelines for Children's and Youth Sports, it is stated that everyone in sports should work to create safe and inclusive sports environments for children and youth. In our contemporary society, these guidelines may have become even more important.
Transforming the current economy into a ‘new’ bioeconomy needs changed institutional frameworks at regional and national level, sensitive to and inclusive of placebased knowledge. The problem is that it is difficult to analyse the crystal structure and there are no established standard methods for classifying the materials.
Although the statistical chances of meeting a serial killer in real life are infinitesimally small, they seem to be absolutely everywhere in the media, from true crime to news journalism and all manner of fictional narratives.
The symposium Here, There, Everywhere: The Figure of the Serial Killer addresses this curious ubiquity, asking questions such as: Why is the figure of the serial killer so fascinating to so many people?
