- I got in contact with Karlstad Business School via a former colleague and research partner, Dr Sana Skandrani, Senior Lecturer at the Information Systems department in KBS.

Carina Bååth was born in Katrineholm and grew up in Kil in Värmland. She got her degree in Nursing in Karlstad in 1983. After continuing professional development in orthopaedics, Carina Bååth spent many years working for Region Värmland as an orthopaedic nurse, quality assurance nurse, and operational developer.
Annette Hill, professor in media and communication at Jönköping University, joins the Centre for Geomedia Studies at Karlstad University.
Annette, tell us about your background
– My background is in media audiences, with a focus on engagement and cultures of viewing. I started out in the late 1990s at the University of Westminster in media and communications, learning about theories and methods and doctoral supervision.

Eddie Wadbro was born and raised in Kivik. He studied at Lund University before doing his doctoral studies at Uppsala University. Since finishing his dissertation he has had various employments, most recently as senior lecturer at Umeå University.

“My research focus is on older adults, in care and outside of it, and on care providers. The family of the older adult is included in the research, as are nursing students and their learning, and the management and organisation that affects care and the older adult’s experience.”
Karin Josefsson hails from Västmanland and became a registered nurse in Skövde in 1982, with continuing professional development in geriatrics in 1984 in Östersund.

Gisela Priebe was born in Germany and moved to Sweden after she had completed her studies in Psychology at Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität in Münster. She graduated from the Psychotherapist Programme, with a specialisation in Family Therapy, at Lund University in 1999.

Born in Östersund, Jan Nilsson is a qualified nurse who has worked in emergency care. After moving to Stockholm, he studied to become a nursing teacher and worked for a while at what was then known as the Swedish Rescue Services Agency, where he taught Emergency Care and Disaster Medicine.

Ida Flink was born and raised in Årjäng. After spending a few years abroad following graduation from upper secondary school, she moved to Örebro to enroll in the psychology programme.
