… Professor at CTF and Assistant Vice-Chancellor at Karlstad University. You just returned from a month-long visit on New Zealand. What did you do there?
- I was Visiting Professor at University of Canterbury. This was in the context of an international teacher and researcher exchange funded by the Erskine Programme.

Professor Remigijus Gustas and Assistant Professor Prima Gustiene from the Information Systems department at Karlstad Business School were awarded “Best Paper” at the 6th BMSD International Symposium of Business Modeling and Software Design, held in Rhodes, Greece, June 20-22, 2016.

Nina Lykke has a background in comparative literature, but her main focus has always been gender. She held a position as researcher in gender studies at the University of Southern Denmark from 1981 to 1999, and headed the university’s centre for women and gender studies during this period. She was appointed to the position of docent [associate professor] at the same university in 1992, with a dissertation on feminism and psychoanalysis.
The process of recruiting a new vice-chancellor at Karlstad University is progressing. The recruitment group has unanimous decided to go ahead with professor Jerker Moodysson, the candidate assessed to have the highest merits in regards to the requirement profile.

What is the focus of your research?
My broad research focuses on software quality assurance and applied soft computing in softwareengineering. Part of this in the past years was using AI to solve software quality assurance problems such astest generation and design.

The ICA Journalism Studies Division Book Award has been awarded to Henrik Örnebring and Michael Karlsson, both professors of media and communication science at Karlstad University, for their book “Journalistic Autonomy: The Genealogy of a Concept.”
Additionally, their article titled “Recoding Journalism: Establishing Normative Dimensions for a Twenty-First Century News Media” has achieved success and received The Bob Franklin Journal Article Award.
The Håkan Frisinger Foundation for Transportation Research awarded its 2014 scholarship to Professor Margareta Friman at Karlstad University.
Margareta Friman will receive the scholarship of SEK 250,000 for
